Synthetic oil flows faster on a cold start, resists breakdown under heat and lasts longer between changes. Many newer cars require it. If your owner's manual says 0W-20, 0W-16 or 5W-30 synthetic, this is the one for you.

How often should you change your oil in Chicago?
Most modern cars on synthetic oil can go 5,000 to 7,500 miles between changes, and some manufacturers allow 10,000. Conventional oil is usually closer to 3,000 to 5,000 miles.
But Chicago driving is hard on oil. Stop-and-go traffic, short trips that never fully warm the engine and freezing winters all count as "severe service" in most owner's manuals. If that sounds like your driving, change your oil on the shorter end of the range, or follow your car's oil life monitor.
Signs you're overdue: oil light or maintenance reminder, darker or gritty oil on the dipstick, louder engine noise, or it's been six months since your last change.

Will getting my oil changed here void my warranty?
No. Federal law (the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act) lets you service your car at any shop. Keep your receipt, which we provide, as a record of the service.
