Why paint correction comes before coating
Wax and ceramic coating lock in whatever is under them, including swirl marks and light scratches. For the best result, especially before ceramic, we polish the paint first so the coating seals in a flawless finish.

From November to March, Chicago roads are covered in salt and brine. It clings to your paint, lower panels and wheels and slowly eats at the clear coat. A layer of wax, sealant or ceramic gives the salt something to sit on besides your paint, and makes it far easier to wash off. The best time to protect your car is before the first snow.

How long does car wax last?
A traditional hand wax typically lasts one to three months, less in harsh winter conditions.
How long does ceramic coating last?
Is ceramic coating worth it?
If you plan to keep your car for several years, want easier washing and maximum protection from salt and sun, yes. If you lease or change cars often, a regular wax or sealant may make more sense.
Should I get paint correction before ceramic coating?
We recommend it. Coating seals in whatever is underneath, so removing swirls first gives you a better, longer-lasting finish.
How do I wash a coated car?
Hand wash with a pH-neutral car soap and a clean mitt, avoid brush car washes, and dry with a soft microfiber towel. We'll give you full care instructions.
